Covenant: Repenting of sexual sin and arming yourself against temptation is not an easy task. But there are things you can do to help you remain diligent in your pursuit of purity. My husband created a covenant before God and with me that he recommits to everyday. With his permission, I've attached a file of his covenant. Please feel free to use it as a guide in writing a covenant to suit your specific circumstance:

Genesis Counseling -- Created by Joe Dallas to help people in recovery with sexual addiction, homosexuality, and other sexual problems. Link: http://www.joedallas.com

Accountability -- For those in recovery from sexual sins and other addictions, we suggest developing 1-3 regular accountability partners that you check in with at least once or twice a week if not daily.  Here's sample questions you can use with your accountability partner:

 R3 Warriors is a group in central Florida sanctioned by John Eldredge's Ransomed Heart Ministries. They hold Wild at Heart retreats twice a year that utilize teaching sessions, films, adventure activities, guided periods of reflection, journaling and times alone, to give you an expedition of the heart that will start you on a journey of freedom and life that you desperately desire deep inside.  Avenue  -- Founded by Clay & Susan Allen this is a great resource that provides curricula for small-groups to use in finding freedom. They also have "virtual small groups" that they conduct via 800-numbers, so that people who aren't in churches that have small groups can have one via phone. Porn to Purity -- Great blog, podcasts, and resources for those struggling with sexual sin. There is a TON of web resources listed for men, women, teens, families, ministers, etc. Check it out. Link: http://porntopurity.com/

Sex Addict -- Through the Heart to Heart Counseling Center in Colorado Springs, Dr. Douglas Weiss offers incredible tools to help men and women overcome sexual addictions as well as find healing from the pain associated with such a devestating addiction. Link: http://sexaddict.com/index.html

Clean Internet -- Easy, inexpensive, and effective internet filtering system. Link: http://www.cleaninter.net

Note: The key is to have your wife or accountability partner choose a password that you don't know. You can request for sites to be unblocked, but the request is sent to the password holder.
