Our goal at Isaiah 53 Ministry is to find healing for both men and women and also healing for their marriage/relationship. We are by no means experts, we are simply sinners who have found God’s grace and have been working through our own healing process.  I have noticed through the interaction between my wife and many women that most men simply do not have a clue. Whatsoever. They are clueless to the devastation of their sin, the terrible consequences that will occur, and just how hurt their wife is. Most men need a swift kick to the rear because they are simply clueless. So, I am willing to be that kick. Because I needed it and you need it. We are attempting to streamline as many resources as we can for sexual healing or outright battling sin. Here you will find a collection of books, articles, resources, websites and anything else that I feel would be helpful to anyone who is on the road to recovery. May Jesus came to pardon our sins, but He also came to heal the brokenhearted so we can walk in freedom. May God continue to bless us on the path to complete restoration and healing in Him.

Book Resources

From time to time I will try to put some books that I have either read and God used for my own personal healing or books that have been recommended by men that I trust and respect. Obviously I cannot recommend every single word these men or women have written simply because I cannot review their stance or position on every issue. My rule is take the good, leave the bad.

The Game Plan by Joe Dallas. This is the first book we recommend to a man who is on the path to healing. It answers the big questions like “Okay, I want to stop _______! What do I do now?” It is a 30-day, step-by-step process of controlling your physical environment and setting up parameters while praying that God renews your mind and cleanses your heart. Very good read.

Every Man’s Battle by Stephen Arterburn and Fred Stoeker. Another first-step book that we recommend. Has an action plan and applicable steps to take.

Porn Again Christian by Mark Driscoll. This is a free e-book from Pastor Mark. Love him or hate him, he hits sexual sin hard and does a job well done.

Finally Free by Heath Lambert. This is a brand new book but it comes highly recommended from a lot of people I respect and trust. I’m looking forward to reading it.

Obviously there are scores more books on the subject. These are among the best. I will make more posts on the subject as it comes to me.
